Inaam is a warm empathetic listener and easy going. As our resident child and adolescent therapist, our younger clients might even say she’s funny. After moving across the world as a teenager, it is only natural for her to become a therapist. She has always found meaning and fulfillment in being with, and providing a safe space for others. Her favorite part in working with children and families is witnessing my clients’ growth, progress, and resilience.

The Journey Here

Inaam earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Wayne State University, followed by her clinical psychology degree from the Michigan School of Psychology. Before joining us at Together We Thrive Wellness, Inaam honed her empathetic listening skills at Michigan Medicine, other local practices, and Easterseals MORC.

Growing and Thriving

We encourage all of our therapists to grow in their career and Inaam is currently preparing to take the exam for her LLP license.

The Heart Behind the Work

I was born in Liberia, where I spent the first five years of my life. I then lived in Lebanon for 13 years before moving to Michigan at 18. My multiracial identity and exposure to diverse cultures have instilled in me a deep sense of cultural humility. In my work, I value and respect every individual, meeting them where they are and celebrating who they are. I am always open to listening and having difficult conversations through which both my clients and I can grow.

On My Book Shelf

One of my favorite series is Harry Potter’s adventures at Hogwarts. Following Harry and his friends as they grow into their strength and standing up to the dark lord is an inspiration to do our best, even if it comes with personal sacrifices. It is not easy, but if it’s something one believes in, it is worth fighting for.

Staying Grounded

I enjoy hiking, gardening, and occasional cooking when I’m not busy with my family and my many cats. I love listening to music and hosting family and friends at my home. I have a butterfly garden that I look forward to every spring—watching the butterflies and hummingbirds is incredibly therapeutic for me. I also enjoy thrifting.
